This year, I skipped NYFW as the industry is changing. Fashion week is just not the same as it used to be. I’m not trying to be negative but the shift is really changing. Shows were becoming too easy to get into and flooded with bloggers, YouTubers, and “Influencers.” Cost of rent space has obviously increased (welcome to New York!) and designers are now showing their collection elsewhere at different times. I remember reading an article a few years ago that Karl Lagerfeld was considering moving his shows from New York to Dallas (the new upcoming city for fashion in the U.S. besides LA).

Looks like neon is here to stay this Spring according to the catwalk shows we’ve seen for 2019. Along with snakeskin, colorful suits, and tie dye (something I’m surprised to see). The 80’s is definitely here to stay throughout the season. Scroll down to see looks that I’m inspired by:
